Dental insurance can be helpful in offsetting the costs associated with dental care. However, it is important to understand that very few dental insurance plans will cover the entire bill. There are a wide variety of dental insurance plans with a vast array of coverages and restrictions. We rely on our patients to know and provide pertinent information to us about their dental plans.
We are a fee-for-service dental practice, but we will file dental claims and accept payment from insurance companies as a courtesy to our patients. It is understood that you will pay for your portion of the cost of dental treatment at the time of service and be responsible for any remaining balance on your bill.
It is important to understand that we are not employed by any insurance company or any other corporate entity. We are an independent dental practice and file dental claims with many insurance companies. Please call to verify participation in any plan.
We accept:
- Most insurance plans that do not restrict usage to a list of providers, such as PPO plans
- Some Florida Blue plans
- Aetna and Assurant plans
- Ameritas
- GEHA Connection Dental
- Guardian
- Lincoln Financial
- Principal
- United Healthcare (Call for Details)
- Humana (Call for Details)
- Metlife (Call for Details)
- Some provider list plans will allow ‘out of network’ usage, in which case, we will file claims for you. Please check with your insurance company and verify the ‘out-of-network’ costs.
- We do not participate in any DMO/DHMO

Some of our patients do not have access to insurance coverage. Some patients want to ditch their insurance for a more cost effective option. Often the cost of dental insurance is more than the actual treatment received.
Many of our patients self-insure and pay cash to save money. In an effort to help make quality dental care more accessible, we are pleased to offer two plans:
1. Gene R. Patch, DMD Membership Plan is a preventative-based plan. It takes care of 1-2 cleanings per year, X-rays, and exams. Any additional dental needs are discounted up to 20% depending on the procedure. Please click on the button to see the details.
2. Value Smile Dental Plan for our cash paying patients. It will allow those who sign up for the plan to save 20% on all procedures, no deductibles, and no limitations. Click here for details.
